The ACB of Oregon board would like to invite you to the 68th annual ACB of Oregon convention. After two years of holding our convention virtually, we look forward to coming together as a hybrid event. We encourage you to attend in person, but you have the option to attend virtually using Zoom. Our ACB of Oregon members will also have an option to request convention assistance with transportation and lodging. Please review the qualifying criteria information included with this registration.

We have a great convention planned this year. We begin our event on Friday at 3:30pm with our 3rd quarter board meeting. This will be offered as a hybrid activity. For our in person members we are having a Friday night pizza party followed by a Making Music & Memories Jam Session. We have many members who love playing music so we are putting together a great all-generations list of music to play and sing. Please join us with your musical instrument and/or voice. All are welcome to play, sing, dance, listen, however you feel like participating.

Saturday afternoon after our traditional morning schedule we are planning some great activities followed by our Saturday night banquet. Some of these activities will be hybrid including the banquet. Watch for more information coming regarding a National White Cane Day event during our convention.

We are pleased to announce our keynote banquet speaker will be Koni Sims. She is currently serving as a Board of Director for ACB, is the immediate Past President of the South Dakota Association of the Blind, a retired Medical Massage Practitioner, Sports Therapist, and Lymphedema Technician. Also, she has served on numerous ACB national boards. Many of you know her from the Get Up and Get Moving Committee.

Our committee has been working hard to acquire some great door prizes and raffle basket items. This resulted in 4 wonderful raffle baskets up for grabs. So you will want to come prepared to buy those raffle tickets!

Be sure to complete the following registration form and return all pages before September 16th to avoid the late fee. Then make your hotel reservations early to take advantage of the low room rate. The hotel will honor our special rate until September 14th. After that date the block of rooms will be released, and the rates will return to full cost. A hot buffet breakfast is included complimentary with each guestroom every morning.

We will be broadcast as much as possible through ACB Media using the Zoom platform, which is accessible through computer, smart phone, and landline phone. The Saturday night banquet will also be carried by ACB Media. More information will be provided regarding how to virtually access the convention.

We look forward to seeing you in October!
